Persona Information:
Liora was born in Italy in 1428 outside of Toscany, the Christian daughter of wine merchants with the given name of Alessandra Dragonetti. She grew up helping her parents in the vineyards and making the trips with them to the seaport nearby to deliver the wine to the spice ships that frequented the port. While making one of these deliveries, she met a Captain of a Ship, Alaina Blackram who sojourned to many ports collecting and delivering spices and wine. Captain Blackram would help hapless travellers by taking them onboard and allowing them to work for passage. One of her crew, Yehoshua ben Yisrael saw the lovely Alessandra and asked to be introduced. They fell in love, eventually married and Alessandra, in the Jewish tradition of the Middle Ages, converted and changed her name to reflect her new life with her husband. She was given the Hebrew name of Liora eishet Yehoshua which translates to Liora (light of God) eishet (wife of) Yehoshua (her husband's name).

SCA Interests:
Sewing, embroidery, bardic skills, archery, scribal arts, general merriment, and figuring out how to get a bigger trailer to accomodate all her SCA stuff and now her fighter husband's stuff as well!
